Last week, I did a takeover of The Photographers’ Gallery Instagram account, inspired by their inspirational current exhibition, Feminism Avant Gard. This week I would like to take this opportunity to add the gallery cafe to my list of suggested “Inspired Eating locations”. After coming out of the exhibition feeling artisticly nourished, I had the chance to catch up with the the brilliant gallery Director, Brett Rodgers, OBE and her great team in the cafe on the ground floor. Below is the menu of what we ate. I will be going back again as soon as I can and strongly recommend you do too.
Kale salad with black rice, feta, walnuts and pomegranate:
Ingredients: Kale, Wild Black Rice, Pomegranate, Feta Cheese, Walnuts.
Dressing: Shallots, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Honey, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice.
Barely salad with apple, cranberries, sweet potato, butternut and figs:
Ingredients: Barley, Butternut, Sweet potato, Cranberries, Apples, Red Cabbage, Figs.
Dressing: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Dijon Mustard, Honey, Balsamic Vinegar.
Courgette salad with sun dried tomato, feta and pesto vinaigrette:
Ingredients: Courgette, Pine nuts, Feta Cheese, Sundried Tomato.
Dressing: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Green Pesto, White Wine Vinegar.
