Mary asked me to post my breakfast smoothie this week it’s a delicious and sweet smoothie, the peanut butter gives a good source of protein and it’s rich flavour keeps you feeling full. I like to make mine with almond milk but you can easily substitute that for any other plant based milk. I’ve added an omega 4 blend of seeds to this or just milled flaxseeds would do! Ingredients
1 red apple, cored and chopped up small
1 ripe banana, broken into chunks
1 tablespoon chunky peanut butter (or nut butter of choice)
2 teaspoons omega 4 seed mix or flaxseeds
3/4 cup (180ml) almond milk (or plant based milk of choice)
Method
- Place all ingredients into a blender or NutriBullet and blend for 10-15 seconds until smooth.
