Happy New Year! This smoothie has a comforting, spiced, indulgent flavour and is packed with nutritious ingredients. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and helps against nausea and upset stomaches. The hemp seeds are a good source of protein, the sunflower seeds are a good source of magnesium and selenium and the dates have high polyphenol content to improve metabolic health.

Ingredients
1 date, pitted
1 medium banana, peeled
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon shelled hemp seeds
1 tablespoon raw sunflower seeds
200ml unsweetened almond milk, or plant based milk of your choice, such as oat milk or rice milk.
Method
Place all of the ingredients into a blender or NUTRIBULLET ™. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
Pour into a glass, and enjoy.
